EJS move towards becoming EUSR CSCS Affiliated
The EUSR (Energy & Utility Skills Register) which is “the Sector Skills Council for the Power industry which operates an independent skills platform, referred to as EUSR, which provides recognised standards for the utility sector.”
We will be moving towards changing to the EUSR CSCS Affiliated card as this reflects our industry more accurately than the CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card currently used.
EJS inline with Environment legislation
From January 2014 all companies must register as a waste carrier if they transport waste as part of their business. We have complied with this legislation and have registered our business. https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/environment-agency

The NERS Scheme Requirement Revision
The NERS Scheme Requirement Document has been revised, part of the revisions included “All new or returning to the industry craftspersons (cable jointers: fitters; linespersons) will be required to complete or undertake courses and tests relevant to the role and scope activities they are to undertake –ideally with such leading to an NVQ level 2 Qualification or equivalent“
With this in mind EJS have taken the decision to look for a suitable accredited training provider to provide training in the C & G 2339 Electrical Power
